1. What this covers
These terms are the agreement between Bunyawi ("we") and the merchant who installs Bunyawi Apps from the Shopify App Store, or creates a Tarteeb account ("you"). Tasleem, the dispatch app, comes with Tarteeb and is covered too. Installing Bunyawi Apps or creating a Tarteeb account means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, uninstall Bunyawi Apps or do not use Tarteeb; nothing is charged during the Bunyawi Apps trial.
2. What we provide
Bunyawi Apps
- A dashboard, embedded in your Shopify admin, where you design and configure your mobile app.
- iOS and Android applications built from your configuration and your Shopify catalogue.
- Build, signing and store-submission work carried out on your behalf, using access you grant and can revoke.
- Hosting of the API those applications talk to, and delivery of push notifications.
- Support by email, and on the Pro plan a named contact with a same-day reply.
Tarteeb and Tasleem
- The Tarteeb web panel at ops.bunyawi.com, for your orders, WhatsApp confirmations, courier bookings, printing and the Needs attention list.
- The Tasleem app for Android and iOS, for the dispatch accounts you create.
- The Tarteeb Print Helper for the shop's Windows or Mac computer.
- The connections you set up to Shopify, Fincart, Bosta, WhatsApp and, for Bosta complaints, your Gmail — each working with your own account there.
- Support by email.
3. What you are responsible for
Bunyawi Apps
- Holding your own Apple Developer Program membership, in your business's name. We cannot publish an iPhone app under ours: Apple's Review Guideline 4.2.6 forbids it, and it would leave you unable to take your app with you. On Google Play your app is published under our developer account unless you choose your own Google Play developer account in the dashboard, which you then hold in your business's name as well.
- The content of your app — your products, prices, descriptions, images and policies — and its compliance with the law where you sell.
- Answering Apple's App Privacy questionnaire and Google's Data Safety form. We tell you what the app collects; only you can declare it.
- Your store's payment, shipping and tax configuration. Checkout happens in your Shopify checkout, under your Shopify agreement.
- Keeping the access you grant us current, and revoking it if you stop wanting us to have it.
Tarteeb and Tasleem
- Your own accounts with Shopify, Fincart, Bosta, Meta and Google, and their terms and fees. The keys and tokens you give us are yours to revoke at any time.
- Messaging your customers lawfully and within WhatsApp's own business policies: order messages go only to people who ordered from you, and you stop when a customer asks you to. The texts you write are your content.
- If you link a spare WhatsApp number for courier-group messages, you accept that it runs as a linked WhatsApp device, outside Meta's business API, and that WhatsApp may restrict it. Never link your store's main number.
- If you connect your Gmail for Bosta complaints, you authorise Tarteeb to file and follow those complaints from that account.
- Who you give accounts to: each person should have their own sign-in, and you remove people who leave.
- The printers, computers and phones at your shop.
4. Price and billing
Bunyawi Apps and the price lock
- Plans are billed monthly through Shopify and appear on your Shopify invoice.
- Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial. Nothing is charged during it.
- The price you subscribe at is your price for as long as your subscription runs without interruption. We will not raise it on an existing subscriber. If we raise list prices, you keep yours.
- There is no revenue share, no per-order fee, no per-install fee and no usage band that moves you between tiers.
- Apple's $99 a year and Google's $25 are paid by you, directly to them. They are not ours and we do not mark them up.
Tarteeb and Tasleem
- Tarteeb is priced per order you ship, in US dollars, for every 30-day billing period. There are four plans: Start — no monthly fee, 50 orders included, then $0.10 per order, extra orders at most $100 per period; Grow — $19, 500 orders included, then $0.05 per order, extra orders at most $50 per period; Scale — $49, 2,000 orders included, then $0.03 per order, extra orders at most $120 per period; Pro — $99, 6,000 orders included, then $0.02 per order, extra orders at most $240 per period. The current list is always at ops.bunyawi.com/pricing.
- An order counts once, when Tarteeb hands it to your courier. Reships, returns and exchanges of the same order never count again. Orders that are never sent to a courier are not counted.
- Billing goes through the Shopify Billing API: the plan and the extra orders appear on your Shopify invoice, and you approve the plan in your Shopify admin. We never hold your card.
- You can change plan at any time from Tarteeb's Plan page; the new plan applies immediately, once you approve it in Shopify.
- When the extra orders of a period reach the plan's maximum, Shopify refuses further charges: raise the limit in Shopify or move up a plan.
- After you install the Tarteeb app you have 7 days to approve a plan. Without an approved plan (or after a subscription stops, or when the period's maximum is reached) Tarteeb keeps working for 7 days with a notice, then refuses new courier sends until a plan is active. Nothing else is locked: your orders and settings stay available.
- Uninstalling the Tarteeb app in your Shopify admin stops billing.
- During early access, businesses connected to Tarteeb with their own Shopify custom app (an access token or client credentials) are not billed.
- Fees charged by others — Meta for WhatsApp messages, Fincart and Bosta for shipping — are billed by them to your own accounts. They are not ours.
5. Cancelling
Bunyawi Apps: uninstall the app in your Shopify admin. Billing stops that day. There is no notice period, no cancellation form and nobody to email. We do not pro-rate a partial month, and we do not charge for one either. Your published apps stay in the stores: your iPhone app under your own Apple account, and your Android app under your own Google Play account if you chose that. An Android app published under our Google Play account is moved to your own when you ask. Your design and configuration are kept for 30 days in case you come back, then deleted.
Tarteeb: stop using it whenever you like, and revoke the keys you gave it. If you connected through the Tarteeb app for Shopify, uninstalling it in your Shopify admin stops billing that day. To close the account and delete its data, the owner emails support@bunyawi.com; everything is deleted within 30 days, as described on the delete an account page. Your orders stay in Shopify.
6. Who owns what
- Yours: your brand, your catalogue, your content, your orders, your customer data, your store listings, your courier and WhatsApp accounts, and the apps as published under your developer accounts; an Android app published under our Google Play account is moved to your own when you ask.
- Ours: the Bunyawi platform — the dashboards, Tarteeb, Tasleem, the Print Helper, the APIs, the application source code and the build system. Your use is a licence to use it, not a transfer of it.
- If you leave Bunyawi Apps, the published apps continue to exist and to show whatever they last cached, but they stop receiving configuration, catalogue and push service from us.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use Bunyawi to sell anything illegal where you operate, to impersonate another business, to build an app that duplicates another merchant's app, to send messages people did not ask for, or to attempt to access another business's data. We review new Tarteeb accounts before switching them on. We may decline or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why.
8. Service levels and what we do not promise
We aim for our services to be available at all times and we watch them, but we do not offer a contractual uptime percentage or service credits, and we will not pretend otherwise. We do not control Apple's or Google's review decisions, timelines or policy changes, nor Shopify's platform, nor the delivery of a push notification by Apple's or Google's networks. Nor do we control Meta, WhatsApp, Fincart, Bosta or Gmail — their availability, their fees or their policy changes.
We will tell you about planned work that affects you before it happens, and about unplanned outages while they are happening rather than afterwards.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. We are not liable for lost profit, lost sales or loss of goodwill. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes to these terms
We will email every merchant at least 30 days before a change that materially affects your rights takes effect. If you do not accept it, uninstall Bunyawi Apps or stop using Tarteeb before it takes effect and nothing further is charged. A change can never retroactively raise the price of an existing subscription.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the courts of Cairo have jurisdiction — without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection right you have where you live.
12. Data processing terms
Where you use Bunyawi to handle personal data of your customers, this section is the data processing agreement between us. It applies from the moment you install Bunyawi Apps or create a Tarteeb account, and for as long as we hold any of that data.
- Roles. You are the controller of your customers' personal data. Bunyawi is your processor and acts only on your documented instructions — installing the app, creating the account, configuring them and using the dashboard, the panel and Tasleem are those instructions. We do not use your customers' data for any purpose of our own.
- Purposes. Bunyawi Apps: showing your catalogue in your app; letting a customer sign in, keep a cart, place an order in your Shopify checkout and track it; sending order updates by push notification; and keeping an audit trail for you. Tarteeb and Tasleem: syncing your orders, correcting addresses, sending the WhatsApp messages you switched on, booking and tracking parcels, pickups, claims and complaints, printing, dispatch and returns, and keeping an audit trail for you. Nothing else.
- Data and people concerned. Order number, items, totals and status; the customer's name, email, phone and shipping address where Shopify has granted your installation or your Tarteeb connection that access; push notification tokens and the customer's Firebase Auth identity (Bunyawi Apps); WhatsApp message records and courier tracking data (Tarteeb). The people concerned are your customers. We never process card data.
- Sub-processors. DigitalOcean (hosting, Frankfurt), Cloudflare (DNS, CDN, TLS, email routing), Brevo (our own sign-in and account emails), Google (Gmail, for those emails when Brevo cannot send them), GitHub (code and build pipeline), Google (Gemini, for Tarteeb: reading a delivery address or the words of a customer's message), and for Bunyawi Apps also Google Firebase (authentication, push for Android and for an iPhone until you upload an Apple push key, crash reporting and usage statistics), Apple (iOS push, App Store distribution), Google Play (Android app distribution), Codemagic (iOS builds) and Telegram (our operator's alert when you ask to publish: your store's name and domain). Shopify, Meta (WhatsApp), Fincart, Bosta and your own Gmail are services you connect under your own accounts. We email you before adding a sub-processor; if you object, stop using the affected product before the change takes effect and nothing further is charged.
- Retention. Bunyawi Apps: orders for as long as you are installed; a customer's name, email and phone erased from their orders on Shopify's
customers/redactor when the customer deletes their account in the app; raw webhook payloads 90 days; abandoned app carts 30 days; checkout requests 90 days; audit and access logs 365 days. Tarteeb: orders for as long as your account exists; sign-in codes 1 day; expired sessions and tokens 30 days; raw webhook payloads 90 days; label and slip files and return photos 30 days; audit log 1 year. Encrypted backups 14 days. - Security measures. The technical and organisational measures we apply are stated on the security and data protection page, which forms part of these terms: TLS everywhere, row-level tenant isolation in the database, encrypted credentials and backups, server access limited to the operator, a single operator with two-factor authentication on every account, and an audit log for each merchant.
- Confidentiality. The one person with production access treats your customers' data as confidential and accesses it only to operate the service or on your request.
- Breach notification. We notify you by email within 72 hours of becoming aware of a personal data breach affecting your customers' data — what happened, what data was involved and what we have done — and we keep you updated as we learn more.
- Assistance. Shopify's
customers/data_request,customers/redactandshop/redactwebhooks are honoured automatically for Bunyawi Apps. Any other data-subject request you forward to privacy@bunyawi.com is answered within 30 days. On request we provide the information reasonably needed to demonstrate compliance with this section. - Deletion on termination. Bunyawi Apps: 30 days after you uninstall, all of your data and your customers' data is deleted from the database; a
shop/redactfrom Shopify deletes it immediately. Tarteeb: within 30 days of the owner's deletion request. In both cases it ages out of the encrypted backups within a further 14 days. - Your responsibilities. You remain responsible for the privacy policy shown to your own customers, for the lawful basis of what you collect and the messages you send, for Apple's and Google's privacy declarations, and for your customers' data inside Shopify and your other connected accounts.
- Location. The data is stored in the European Union (Frankfurt). Push delivery and authentication by Apple and Google, your store data in Shopify, and what you do in Meta, Fincart, Bosta and Gmail take place under those providers' own terms.
